Silvia Șohterus graduated the Academy of Music in Bucharest. In the period 1987-1991 she held the position of chorister at the Romanian National Opera in Bucharest and at the Romanian Broadcasting. From 1995 until now she has worked at the Operetta and Musical Theatre “Ion Dacian”. In 2003 she recorded a disc with opera and operetta arias with the Radio Pilsen Orchestra (Czech Republic), with the conductor Anton Guadagno.

She has a rich repertoire that includes roles in the shows: “The Bird Seller”, “The Fountain of Blanduzia”, “Rose-Marie”, “Countess Maritza”, “Silvia”, “The Bat”, “Hello, Dolly!”,

!”, “Paganini”. , “The Gypsy Baron”, “Cabaret”, “Paris, mon amour”, “Rebecca”, “Let me sing”, “Operetta Naughty”, “Sleeping Beauty”, “The White Horse”, “Beautiful Elena”, “Marco Polo’s Secret”, “Ball at Savoy” or “Gondoliers”.
